About the Philippine Travel Directory
This directory maps the Philippines using the Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC), the classification system maintained by the Philippine Statistics Authority to identify every region, province, city, municipality, and barangay in the country. Each of the 17 administrative regions links through to its provinces, cities, and municipalities, and down to individual attractions, festivals, restaurants, hotels, and local dishes.

About the PSGC: The Philippine Standard Geographic Code is a nine-digit numerical code used to uniquely identify every local government unit. The first two digits identify the region, the next two the province, the next three the city or municipality, and the final two the barangay. Example: 050101000 refers to the Municipality of Bacacay in Albay, Bicol Region.
