Butanding Festival May
Donsol, Sorsogon Ushers in the "Butanding" (whale shark) season and gives thanksgiving for its blessings to the people of Donsol. Features a regatta, fluvial parade along the Donsol River with giant whale shark images on floats, and street dancing contingents. Donsol is the whale shark capital of the world.
Catandungan October

Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur A harvest festival celebrated by the Subanen people of Lapuyan. Harvest season is a time for merrymaking, sharing of blessings, singing, dancing, chanting, and feasting on home-made delicacies and "pangase," a traditional fermented rice wine.
